How Custom Certificates Work
When you upload a custom certificate, SaaS Custom Domains handles the SSL/TLS termination using your provided certificate and private key.
We'll automatically determine which custom domains the certificate will cover by examining the Subject Alternative Names (SANs) listed in the certificate. This way, all specified domains are securely managed with your custom certificate.
π‘ Important to know!
β
You'll still have to create a custom domain in our platform to ensure the requests are properly forwarded to the correct upstream.
Custom Certificate Expiry Management
Expiry Notifications
To ensure continuous security, SaaS Custom Domains sends email notifications to the account owner 30, 14, 7, and 3 days before a custom certificate expires.
What Happens If You Don't Renew
If you don't renew your custom certificate before it expires, SaaS Custom Domains will attempt to issue a new certificate for your domain using our automated systems. However, this may not cover all scenarios, and manual intervention might still be required. To ensure seamless service, always renew and upload your certificates before they expire.
That's it! Now you know everything about Custom Certificates!
